Feet are pounding on the grass
On sprints the runner; he makes a pass!
Open is the receiver who gives a mighty jump
The catch is good! The runner’s legs begin to pump
But a wall of players are barring the way
A dodge, a leap, and he breaks away!
Long are the moments as across the field he bounds
